What do you do when you have bad PMT / perimenopause rage?!

Please tell me what you do on a bad day to get through - struggling!
Can go from happy to raging overnight and it’s draining.

Go for a walk

Thanks - a walk is a good idea. I keep having to remind myself I don’t hate everyone….

If it is as bad as you suggest, I have a look at whether you could have PMDD to the GP - this is if it's been happening across your periods for quite a while, it's more peri-menopause, then you can start vaginal or other forms of topical estrogen. The other thing you could try is a low to medium dose of antidepressants from after ovulation to when your period starts again.

Lovely hot shower and 20 minutes to myself

HRT really helped my peri rage.

Other than that, I take myself out of particularly triggering situations wherever possible, just for 5 minutes. I really try to consciously remind myself that it isn't a reasonable reaction to the situation and keep a lid on things, even if I want to tear the house down/say something I'll live to regret.

Yes my perimenopause rage pre period was off the scale. I am normally very chill but my road rage frightened me! I have been on two pumps of Oestrogel a day for 4 months and can genuinely say I am back to my chilled self with no pre period anger or anxiety.

Not saying it is right for everyone, but has been fantastic for me!

I posted this exact question on the menopause board earlier but didn’t have any replies so I’m so pleased to see some answers here@Patricia1704

it’s actually awful, thought I had lost it yesterday completely.

Agree with a walk or even a slow run.
Also I’d tell my teenage dc and dh that I was suffering really bad PMT so could people sort themselves out and leave me alone!
