NHS lab results not showing on NHS app - how to get copy

Hi all, I have had significant blood in urine recently (stopped then came back). Despite this my GP service wouldn’t do a check up, not sure why. I appreciate they may be busy but multiple attempts they’ve not allowed me to book a face to face appointment, and I requested first thing in morning at 7am when they open. I have symptoms of chronic recurrent UTI too which didn’t go away with antibiotics.

I ended up flagging to 111 that I can’t get appointment, and luckily Dr at urgent treatment centre from local hospital kindly saw me and sent off urine sample to the lab.

I since contacted my GP service just to inform them I’ve been seen at local hospital service, and request for results when possible. (Local hospital is in a different London borough)

GP service admin confirmed they have my results but the GP is yet to review them, fair enough.

however I can’t seem to find my results in the NHS or my local GP service app. I appreciate GP services are very busy and don’t want to keep bothering them but would it be reasonable to also request a copy of my results too?

it’s just that I’ve hear with chronic recurrent UTI’s it’s common for NHS urine test results to be ‘negative’ but I’d still be interested to know anything that came out of the results to show to a private urologist moving forward (have heard NHS isn’t great with chronic UTIs). Also the Dr I saw at the hospital had said he could still see microscopic blood in my urine before it was sent off so I know I’m not imagining the symptoms

If they have the results you can do an SAR request to get them or just call or email reception and say you want them sent to you.

If the GP hasn't reviewed them they wont be filed yet which means they are 'provisional' and not in your app yet. Once the GP has filed them they will go onto there (as long as they haven't ticked not online visible)
