Just booked my smear test for this year. I have no doubt I will still be HPV positive and have been for 5 years since pregnancy. CIN2 also removed in 2010 but negative results since then until 2020.

anyone else in this boat ?

A lot people talk about the tests themselves and how it’s only 10 minutes but I have no issue with the test. It’s the waiting for results . Feeling sick when I see the postman , then having to go through the same thing after each colposcope. I know there are worse things happening to people and I’ve had worse myself. But for some reason this one really gets to me.

I had VIN 3 removed 10 years ago, so I have a yearly check and smear, but every year the waiting is horrible. It fills me with such anxiety.

Sorry to hear that . I really hoped I’d seen the last of it in 2010 but something told me it would pop up again at some point. I know for a lot of ppl it doesn’t but I just had a feeling .

I’ve just had a message on my nhs app with advise about what to do if you are concerned about the ‘5-10 minute test’
I’m already dreading the weeks following the test. They don’t talk about that . I’ve had dodgy moles, a lump in my breast that needed investigating etc. but nothing makes me feel like this does for some reason .
