Laprascopy surgery

Hi, I’ve been on the waiting list for a Laprascopy to look for suspected endometriosis. I’ve just had my pre op today where they told me they’d be having me as an inpatient over night.

just wondering what I should expect, I had the same surgery a couple years ago for a ruptured ectopic so it was very quick and rushed as it was an emergency.

I have had painful period and mid cycle pain for 10+ years and pain during intercourse. I’m so worried that they’re gonna go in and there be nothing wrong and I’m back to square 1 feeling like it’s all in my head. It took a second opinion at a different hospital to get this surgery as my first gynea refused to do the surgery (male doctor) so it’s a long time coming. Just would love any advice or any experiences you have :)

Might be adhesions from last one.. could be Endometriosis or even PCOS.. I know its hard but nothing you can do until you get results..but l believe you.. you just don't have pain like that for nothing.. mine turned out to be all three of what I've mentioned and l had same symptoms as you plus an ectopic too. Good luck. X

I’ve been having extreme pain since my period started 10+ years ago :(, I also forgot to mention they saw adhesions on my bowel last time they went in but nothing else other than the ruptured tube but they did admit they weren’t actively looking for it or signs of it :)

hoping it is endometriosis as I’m sick of the pain and a reason behind it would ease the worry of why the pain is there
