But if you thought you had a uti then surely you do have uti symptoms? I find the tests to be unreliable . I’ve had uti’s where the sample has been pink with blood and it’s still come back negative . You probably have a uti . I always end up pissing blood when I have a uti if I leave it too long to get abs .

I’m not an expert but I think it’s very normal to have traces of blood. My 3 year old’s urine came back recently with traces of blood and they weren’t worried at all. I also had it when I was pregnant. What has the GP said?

Trace blood in urine on dipping 99% time is fine in fact our urology department say these referrals should be routine not urgent (obviously there are other symptoms that may make it more urgent). The big worry is visible blood in urine.

I was given antibiotics on my honeymoon from boots without a test, then felt it hadn’t quite gone so had another course,
just waiting for lab results to see next steps

No visible blood
just trace on the GPS dipstick
took cystitis sachets and feel the pain is almost away
still worried though

Blood in urine doesn't necessarily mean cancer, and a clear dipstick test doesn't always mean no UTI!

I have had recurrent blood in urine, negative dipstick tests, no real trace markers for infection, and it was only when I was referred on to urology that they discovered it was an embedded UTI. I had no symptoms of a UTI at all.

I had microscopic blood in my urine. It was tested by GP several times, sent off to the lab etc. They advised that three tests with blood in and I would be referred to a Urologist. I had kidney scans which were clear and a cystoscopy which was fine. Urologist said that in most cases they dont find out why blood is there, it just happens. Hopefully you will have the same outcome.

I was bleeding blood when I had my first uti. I was quite young then but haven’t had any since.

I have traces of blood. I've had tests and cystocopy which showed nothing
If I ever give a sample its noted and, obviously, I wish it was clear but it's always there. Not able to be seen by the naked eye
GP said its just one of those things and as long as not visible don't worry
