I started taking cerazette 7 days ago and have been struggling with breast pain, headaches and generally feeling low. I decided to stop taking it. How do I know how it will effect the timing of my next period? I stated taking it on day 5 of my period and usually would have ovulated yesterday. I am going on holiday when the first day of my next period was due (terrible timing) is it likely to be delayed by a week or will I still need to take period delay medication to avoid it?

I think you've posted in the wrong place OP... you'll get the responses you need in Womens Health/Contraception!

I will say for all medication it takes time for your body to get used to it, so it's better to give it a proper shot for a few weeks. It may then stabilise, if it doesn't and your not happy with the side effects, go back to your GP and ask to try a different kind of pill.

Many are different in terms of the way it works and what's in it, so with a different one you can find it really good. If you do go back to your GP to change it, I'd have a list of the side effects which you found too much, so then they can use their knowledge to try and find one which avoids or has a much lower chance of those symptoms happening.

To be safe I'd still get the medication if you want to delay your period.
