UTI symptoms but no infection

I’ve had symptoms of uti now for over one month. I’ve had repeated urine samples taken that all showed no sign of infection. I’ve also taken a course of nitrofuriton and amoxycillin but to no avail.
The symptoms seem to come in waves. Some nights it’s unbearable and I have once passed blood. Some days it’s just a dull ‘it’s about to start’ pain like I’m on the verge of cystitis with painful pelvic pain. I do have adenomyosis so I’m wondering if it could be linked. I’m due to see gynaecology this month and the doctors have referred me to urology but other than that, have been really dismissive even though it’s constant pain. I have started D Manosse as I’m getting pretty desperate so will try anything.
For reference, I’m 39 and blood tests have suggested peri-menopause. I should add that the symptoms started after using a tampon for the first time in over 6 years and going swimming although it could be unrelated I guess. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Please say there’s a light at the end of the tunnel

Yes to the Estradiol and also drink warm lemon barley water. An old fashioned remedy but often works well.
2 or 3 glasses a day.

Hi @BE10 . I had a condition called aerobic vaginitis and it made me feel like I had a chronic UTI that didn't respond to antibiotics. My story is in the link below. You'll need to read the later posts about aerobic vaginitis. I hope you get to the bottom of it. Xxxxxx

I had similar. Nothing showed up in tests. When I finally saw a urologist he was totally dismissive of urine tests and said it was definitely infection.
