Bladder Prolapse Surgery

Has anyone had surgery in the last 5-10 years for a bladder prolapse? I’ve had my prolapse since giving birth to DC1 nearly 20 years ago, exacerbated by DC2 6 years later.
At the time, surgery was only the mesh, and had been suspended due to so many people being in constant pain etc. I had my smear test today, and the nurse said that she thinks there is a different surgery now.
Would be interested to know if anyone has had surgery, did it make a big difference, and what was the recovery time like? I’m a full time carer and home educator for my son who has various disabilities, so not sure how long we could manage with me out of action.

Also interested in this, I’ve just posted about a bladder prolapse myself.
