Expired coil

My coil expired 2 yrs ago 🙈 and has also moved (need a specialist to remove it) last cupple weeks my stomach has bloated and now sore boobs, google says pregnancy or infection, has anyone had similar experiences thanx ☺️

Have you done a pregnancy test? My sister fell pregnant on the coil. Hers was finally removed when she had her Caesarian!

As it expired 2 years ago, what are you currently using for contraception? The obvious answer is do a pregnancy test and if that's not the cause then go to GP. Tbh go to GP even if it is as they will need to discuss with gynae about whether you should have it removed, though usually not.

Agree with you - but most often coil should be removed in early pregnancy where possible. OP’s coil maybe not so much if the strings aren’t visible or sitting in the cervix - but agree with you will need a Dr discussion whether pregnant or not.

Hi thanx for replies ladies, my period isn't late or anything so havnt done a test(not much of a period more just spotting) I'm at specialists on friday to have it removed so will ask him, I just got myself worked up googling it 🤦‍♀️🤣
