Hello, im 48yo, 3 kids, on mounjaro (and losing slowly 12kg in 4 months) on the cusp of being overweight.
i had regular periods all my life but they had started to get shorter.
ive got a telephone consultation booked with my GP this afternoon but what tests should i ask?
i was thinking a general blood test but also for iron level and vit D level.
i know i am losing weight but it is slow and im only on the smaller dose of mounjaro. My body seems to pick up every virus possible and then it takes a long tome to recover. My energy levels are at an all time low. In the past 4 weeks i had thrush, UTI, tontislitis. Today i am struggling because i did a gym workout yesterday morning which felt fine at the time. Now the soreness is unreal. I spent my day in bed yesterday, feeling very sorry for myself, lethargic and in pain (started maybe 1hr after my workout, when i sat down after my shower and a few bits and bobs)
anything else i could ask?

Full blood count +genera bloods
Full Thyroid panel - not just tsh
Ferritin folate
B12 D
h. Pylori - this can cause tonsillitis and a whole heap of other symptoms
Could also ask for anca and autoimmune panel but they're unlikely to do it on a first request.

Check what is optimal for each result as nhs guidelines don't always tally- ferritin will often be marked as normal when it's actually really low etc Heath unlocked forums have lots of advice on each test and possibly any thing else you could request

You could also be pre or menopausal I don't know what tests are used for that.
