Bleeding on Desogestrel after taking for a year

Ive been on Desogestrel for almost a year. I had spotting to start which calmed down initially. Then around March time I was spotting again.
I've just started bleeding today, it's almost like a very light period - is this normal?
Im 48 and got put on the pill to sort my erratic periods out.

I’m on this, due on my period in 10 days and haven’t stopped with the light bleeding since the last 😞 I’ve read it can happen though in the first few months of taking it. I have a 3 month supply before another consultation; I’m considering giving it up tbh

I don't even know when my last period was. I haven't had any spotting since March but this is more like a light period. I'm cramping and feel washed out.
I've managed to get a doctors appointment for tomorrow morning to discuss it.
