Hello,

Has anyone had, and if so, can you recommend somewhere for a full body health check?

I have quite bad health anxiety and I've had a few issues with symptom spotting recently and I really think some sort of once over would put my mind at rest.

Can anyone recommend anyone please? Preferably in the Manchester area x

You shouldn't do this, nobody should unless they need it - it's something you'll feed into. Okay it didn't find anything and then you'll want another one in a month because we'll there could be tumor now. Health tracking and tech is good but we can't give everyone full body MRIs - nor should we without symptoms suggesting it will be useful. We start with tracking, lifestyle changes, then ultrasounds (less invasive, bloods, urine). We can't and shouldn't test for everything just because we can and it just creates more anxiety for you, especially with health anxiety. Go to your GP if you have any symptoms, track things (this is harmless) and get some antianxiety meds and therapy - CBT or DBT.

Forget MRI etc. Why not spend on the kind of standard MOT that’s normal as an annual check up everywhere else apart from the U.K. in the civilised world?

Nuffield, Bupa etc have health centres that do these including poo, urine and blood analysis, physiologist appointment to check your blood pressure, oxygen, fitness, flexibility and carry out ECG and then long GP appointment to discuss your bloods etc which will already be back and also includes full examination checking responses, moles and for women pelvic exam, smear and breast check. You also get chance to discuss any concerns. You can include a mammogram too if you want.
