Should I try period delay tablets for the first time?

Im 27 and going on my first holiday with my boyfriend soon. I have very irregular periods often 37-39 day cycles or skip a month. I can never predict when it will arrive. No contraception no health issues or PCOS. Think it may be down to overexercise but not sure.

My last period was 22nd july which means if my periods were following a normal 28 day cycle I would come on the first day of my holiday.

I wanted to try period delay tablets just incase but my friend said it made her mood horrendous. I already get horrendous PMS mood swings. My other friend she just got the mini pill and took it continuously?

I don't want to take it unnecessarily but its difficult to know if i will be on my period or not. Has anyone tried them before or got any advice?

Thankyou

Ive used it with no ill effects. The mini pill is not guaranteed to stop periods and can make them erratic.

They’re fine. If you don’t like it just stop taking it and have a period. They’ll be out of your system quickly.
