For about 4 days I've been a bit crampy around my scar and pelvic area. Was put in antibiotics in case of UTI but yesterday my scar bled on one side a little and it's tender all along the scar line. Can this happen? Been feeling a bit off too. I will contact the GP but it's difficult today as id need help with my kids. One is autistic so don't like bringing him to my appointments as it's a bit much.

Sounds like it’s an infection. Is the wound weeping or red anywhere? Is it hot to touch?

Personally I would still contact your gp today, even if you can ask to send images of the scar and have a phone consultation. Infections of c sections can be really painful and make you feel pretty unwell so would be good to start antibiotics quickly.
They may ask you to go in to swab the area.

I had quite a lot of infections with my c section,
the gp said I needed to rest, air the wound so no clothing on it and not move around too much to aggravate the wound. I know this is really hard when you’re caring for two children, is there anyone that can come over and help?

Thank you. It does look a bit red. I've contacted them so just need to wait now. My mum might pop over later. Just feeling very sick and not right.

Hope you managed to get an appointment, it’s really rough going feeling unwell and still healing

I did. She said I'm unusually tender. My urine came back with urine infection markers still so I've been given a different antibiotic. She said if the pain gets worse or I get a temp I have to go to hospital tho.
