Period only appearing after holidays abroad

I went to my GP who put it down to stress and forgot about it anyway I was on holiday 4 weeks ago and my period arrived today, it seems that my periods only come when I've been on holidays abroad. If I holiday in the uk they don't come but if I leave the country (even a holiday to Ireland) they appear, otherwise I'm not having a period. My life has been pretty stressful but my GP isn't concerned?

Any tips/tricks?

This happened to me twice as I was coming towards the menopause. My last two periods were on holidays. I did some reading and found that travel stress can have an impact. This was after a short European flight.

Is it normal for them not to come at all? Are you menopausal?

Yes, though travel can screw my cycle. I’ve had a period be about 10 days late unexpectedly when I went on holiday and also on a different occasion, an exceptionally long one.

They only come if I go on holiday, and being menopausal im aware it can happen to women in their 20s but its rare so its not something I've considered.

if I was of menopausal age, I would be more inclined to think it was the menopause, but that is a long way off for me
