Breast lump,panicking

I found a lump last week, it had a bit of squishiness to it, a bit like a sultana but smooth, you could move it between 2 fingers. It felt like if you massaged it it started to change shape a bit, became less distinct.

When massaging it, I felt what seemed to be a little pop and it changed again but still there.
Now it feels firmer, like a rubbery, slippery pea.

Had a referral to breast clinic 10 years ago and it turned out to be small cysts. I’m 52 and perimenopausal. I plan a GP appointment this week, absolutely dreading it.

Positive breast lump stories would be appreciated.

I didn't want to read and run
I'm glad your going to GP, better to make sure that it is being seen to and hopefully it is nothing to worry about. Good luck.

I’ve had four breast lumps, all turned out to be harmless cysts.

Last time it happened 10 years ago the Gp was very neutral, she just said all lumps need referred to breast clinic. Gp appointment was on the monday a clinic appointment was on Friday of the same week. I’m hoping this time Gp will be also be neutral.
