How do you get hysteroscopy biopsy result?

Had one of these yesterday and just wondering how you get the result. The nurse said about 4 weeks. I have the NHS app and wondered if they would appear on there like the trans abdominal/transvaginal ultrasound results.

I got the results on the app, firstly. Then received a letter in the post the next day. Got them in less than a week, but I understand different hospitals vary in that respect.

I was going to say app or letter/follow up appointment.

Thank you. I was wondering what it might say on the app too. My ultrasound for instance said ‘abnormal’ and then some further details.

Just wondering if it will be a ‘get out of jail free’ card, or more inconclusive.

Thank you, did it have much information on it? Been in limbo on this urgent referral pathway for almost 4 weeks now and looking forward to having clarity one way or the other.

Consultant wrote about 5 weeks later as a 2 line letter saying everything was ok.
Had to go on to request report via hospital portal directly with hospital there is usually a page on this access, direct on the website for hospital. I found it useful and my GP must have also had it as I recall them commenting it was strange I had a thin lining at the time for that of someone with a fibroid. Could see the steps if hormone treatment failed.

Never been able to view ultrasound results, mri, x rays, anything external testing beyond blood test results on the nhs app though from what I made of it ages ago my doctors surgery doesn’t have a compatible/linked system with most hospitals in the area.

I got the full information from the app. The same information as was posted in the letter, and the same as my GP received. Thankfully for me, I had the all clear. Hope yours is too.

Thankyou, that’s very useful to know. It is what it is either way, however really looking forward to getting an answer. Haven’t had an opportunity at any point to really speak to any medical professionals about it, the day patient unit on Friday for the hysteroscopy was super-rushed and a different surgeon carried it out from the one that I initially spoke to. Feel pretty left in the dark and trying to find out more on the internet, although I understand that they can’t really say anything before getting the biopsy results.
