Breast rash

Woke up to what looks like a red round blemish on my breast, slightly scaly and paler in the middle. Had it 6 days before going to dr, I had started treating it with a mild steroid cream then Dr gave me another steroid cream which had an anti biotic and anti fugal in it which I have used for 6 days now but still no change in it, maybe not as red as it was but no shape or size change. There is no itching or pain at all. Dr took pictures to send to breast clinic and said they will get in touch if they want to see me. I said when I first saw it I though it looked like an insect bite as did my husband but when I went to drs 6 days later when she was looking ambit I said it looks like ring worm and she laughed and said she thought the same. Dr gave me a thourgh examination on both breast and under arms but could not see or feel anything. If it had been some infection I am sure there would have been at least some improvement by now with using the cream. Starting to get quite concerned now it will be something more sinister. Would be grateful on peoples thoughts. Excuse pictures.

I would return and ask for a 2 week wait breast clinic referral personally. They are so kind and thorough at my clinic. Though it’s unlikely to be inflammatory breast cancer, it’s a type not to mess about with.

I am going back to see my dr tomorrow. Thank you.

Are you still suffering from this? I had a very itchy rash there about a year ago, but it went away - I was wearing one of those daft bras that are like a crop top, not breathable either, and I think I reacted to it or it caused skin irritation, could it be something like that? Breast rashes always look alarming because the skin is so thin and it gets mottled.

Hi, yes it is still there. It’s not a rash though. Waiting on appointment for breast clinic at hospital, it use to be a 2 week window if referred as urgent but they are saying it is 4 weeks now🤷‍♀️. Thanks for replying.x
