Bleeding after hysteroscopy

Hi all, I had a hysteroscopy and biopsy under GA 6 days ago, had mild spotting at first but now have sporadic flooding and wanted to check how long other people experienced bleeding for as I'm getting fed up with it.

No pain, no body temperature or other signs of infection, and tranexamic acid not making a huge difference. Hard to know how much blood I am losing as it seems to pour out when I use the toilet.

Read that it can take 6 weeks to resolve for those who do have bleeding, anyone experience that sort of length of bleeding? Thanks

My experience wasn't a good one so I am probably not the best person to answer, I've posted about it before.
I'd give it until after the weekend and then go back to the hospital/your GP/an STI clinic (they can get swab test results immediately). Although you haven't got a temperature etc, doesn't guarantee that there's no infection.

I had one in January and only spotted for the first day afterwards, and then had bleeding (medium flow I would think) for about 8 days, then reduced after that and eventually stopped about 15 days after the procedure.

I did bleed for a couple of weeks, I needed to wear a pad.

Thank you, that sets my mind at rest. Hopefully it'll stop soon

I had one today. Instructions leaving the hospital included calling them for heavy bleeding, eg if you’re soaking a pad. PP is right; seek medical advice.

Can’t help with the bleeding issues but jealous of you getting GA. Three hysteroscopies with paracetamol as my only pain relief was “interesting”
