I have had two c sections and was told I have severe adhesions. I was never even told what a niche was and until today I didn’t know they existed but googling my symptoms has led to me wondering if i have one.
Basically i’ve had constant period pain for a few months, even when i don’t have a period. Normal periods, slightly irregular but I am 40. Bit of spotting after intercourse. A couple of episodes of intense pelvic pain plus swelling and bloating for a few days, lower back pain, frequent urination, then after 3-4 days of this my stomach feels like it’s full of water. Like i can feel liquid sloshing around in there. Then it mostly resolves, leaving my new normal period type pains.
I had put this down to UTIs but went to the doctor the last time and she said she felt it’s a gynaecological problem. Blood tests were normal and had a smear which i haven’t got the results back from but nurse said all looked good. Referral made for gynae and abdominal ultrasound in the meantime.
Anyway, this week i’ve been very sick and sore with the pain and everything then i realised my c section scar is so itchy and when i was drying after the shower it actually felt sore. I took a look and just slightly under my c section scar is a red patch of sore skin. I googled to see what would cause irritation to an old section scar and that’s what google came up with.
So has anyone had this? Does it sound likely that’s what i’m dealing with? I can’t even find an NHS page to see what it is or how it’s treated and it’ll be a long time before i see the gynae so i’m just really interested to see if anyone’s had the same.
