Awaiting biopsy results

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else is currently in the same boat as me and would like to virtually wait together. I am awaiting biopsy results from a lump in my right breast - the consultant has said he is not expecting anything concerning to come back as my ultrasound came back normal but while I cannot change the outcome of the results the anxieties take over and my mind still goes to the worst case scenario xx

@Lily1x I don't think I will find out tmrw. They said everybody has to go in for a face to face appt no matter what the outcome. As they said don't read into the fact you get an appt to come in.
I feel like I'm getting more nervous again now it's getting closer. God knows how I'm going to get in there on the day.
I'm glad you were able to keep busy yesterday with your bbq. It's the only answer really keeping bust and keeping the mind occupied.

Thank you. I only had them taken Monday 16th and they said 4-6 weeks but previously they’ve came back in around 2 weeks.

@Infracat oh sorry, I didn’t realise. Well hopefully you’ll get given a date to go in tomorrow. If not definitely give them a call, there is no harm in chasing. They know this is a worrying time for people. Bless you, I think you’ll surprise yourself when it’s time to go for your appointment! That’s good that you get an appointment regardless though because it’ll be nice to hear reassurance from the horses mouth.

I was told I will get a text with results if all good. A phone call or letter if not asking to come in. But he did say, sometime you might be asked to come in if we want to talk about what to do with the tumour etc (even if benign) so I’m just praying for a text 😂

@Lily1x Morning. I'm feeling really sick in my stomach today and light headed. I have anxiety anyway so this has just exacerbated it. I feel like I'm being ridiculous. I wish I was more resilient to these things.

Morning @Infracat. It’s such an awful feeling and I know there is nothing I can say that will help you right now. I am assuming you’ve not heard from them this morning, do you still plan on ringing this afternoon? You are in no way being ridiculous, especially when it comes to health. You can have 99 problems in life until it’s health then you have 1.

It’s hard to manage the unknown and that’s what we are dealing with right now. We know something is there, it’s just the, but what.

I am probably the same as you and I think I could potentially have another week of this yet makes it worse. I also have a trip planned for my birthday, flying out Friday albeit only for the weekend but I am just hoping I hear something by then because I can’t even bring myself to get excited, let alone start packing 😫

Update from me I just had a letter added to my app - all ok!

It's been great having you hear to chat to. I almost told my mum yesterday, but then couldn't. I'd hate for her to have this worry too. Especially when she's going through her own stuff.

@Infracat I am relived, I think it will take a few days to come down from the anxiety of it all though. Totally understand your thoughts behind not telling your mum, however, it is good to have someone to speak to quickly in those moments of worry. Have you told any close friends or family? So you’ve got someone who you can turn too and lean on.

Today I am very stressed and just feel sick about the whole thing. Im so scared. For context there is a lot of other stuff going on in my life which just makes it all the worse. I left a voicemail on their phone line earlier. They called back but I missed it as was driving. They asked me to call back so I've left another voicemail.
I just wish I could be told today on the phone as the waiting is so hard.

@Lily1xI managed to get through to someone at the hospital today. I phoned up. They said everything is fine and I'll get a letter. I'm so relieved.
