Sharp pain in lower left region - ovaries?

For the last 48 hours I’ve been experiencing a very sharp, like a little knife, jabbing my uterus on the left hand side. It comes and goes in waves, happening every 30 seconds or so.

Has anybody else had this, what did it turn out to be? A little worried. Scan not booked for another 2 weeks so.

Are you ovulating?

Could also be bowels.

Shouldn’t be as I have a coil

You still ovulate with the copper coil

It could be a cyst/cyst that has burst, or ovulation.

I get ovulation pains when the egg is released in my right side. I feel sharp pains and can even hurt to walk at times. It was once so painful that I ended up in A&E as I thought it was my appendix, but I was right in the middle of my cycle, so they put it down to that. Every time I get the pain, it is when I'm ovulating.

The Mirena coil only partly suppresses ovulation, plus it thins the uterus lining so implantation shouldn't happen.

I still get the occasional month where I am very definitely ovulating.

I get this every month as ovulation pain. It even changes sides each month so I know which ovary I have ovulated from! Generally 10 days after my period finishes. Feels like a hot knife.

Hi, just wondering if you had an update? I have been getting this exact pain the last two cycles but around cd10-11. Sharp stabbing pain every 30ish seconds abd lasts a couple of days

I also get this when I ovulate.

I was thinking ovulation but cd10-11 seems too early as I usually ovulate between cd14-17 according to test strips

I get similar pain and I have an ovarian cyst, I have been told its a size that can impact everything around it so thats the likely cause. It comes and goes and just like you say, comes in waves.

Just updating as somebody asked - turns out I have adenomyosis!
