I had some urine infection symptoms in last two weeks but no burning when peeing. Only a pressure and period pain..
I had two different antibiotics as the first short course did not work and it returned.
I had a vaginal swab taken and it shows Candida Parapsiloses?
A look on Google says it’s uncommon and more complicated than the usual thrush casing candida Albicans .
I get thrush regularly now since I recently reached menopause age.
please tell me about it.
also I’m taking prednisone high doses for another non related issue.

A quick google says you should be given anti fungal medications - Fluconazole etc.

I have invasive Candida (similar) and I’m under two specialists for it. I have it very badly orally and in my bladder. I am on Fluconazole 50mg daily almost permanently (had it for 5 years now) and nystatin oral liquid 4 times a day. Mine is caused by being on daily long term antibiotics for a bladder issue for 30 years - interstitial cystitis. I’m now free of the antibiotics after starting amitriptyline but the thrush continues. I also take steroids for lupus and Addisons disease which doesn’t help - the pred you are taking will be suppressing your immune system (unless you have adrenal insufficiency and it’s more than 3/4mg per day) and this will make things worse but obviously don’t stop this if you need it for another condition.

Don’t take probiotics regardless of what google etc tell you - if you are immunocompromised which you will be with the thrush and the steroids this can make things a whole lot worse by causing a bacteria overgrowth. Both my specialists told me never to take them.

I’ve had it - also perimenopausally and diagnosed at the sexual health clinic which gave me 6 months of fluconazole
