Can I ask- I've been prescribed this by my gynaecologist (it's private ,and who's brilliant) and I may be using it while I have some social stuff going on. I forgot to ask them so I'm just checking that there aren't any common side effects I need to be aware of (having read those online.)

I have found the period blood can smell a bit stronger, I'm assuming as it has actually has chance to oxidise rather than it just gushing out like a tap.

So I can use less industrial strength sanpro but I still change the thinner pads every few hours even though not at capacity iyswim. I used to solely use maternity pads for my periods and regular ones seem so small now haha.

If you have issues with iron deficiency or anaemia like me I found it to be a game changer. I was on regular iron tablets but had found each period (aka the monthly bloodbath) just knocked me back. Now I can tell I'm actually benefiting from not losing my supplement gains each month and have so much more energy.

The main side effect to worry about is clot risk but I'm happy to to just monitor for that.
