Stopping period for a holiday

In October I'm going on holiday to Japan, it's a once in a lifetime style holiday. Over the last year or so my periods have been heavy and painful as well as symptoms such as tiredness and feeling irritable. They are pretty regular and it looks like it'll fall during my holiday. I use the copper coil for contraception. Prior to that I was on the mini pill (and had no periods) but found it really affected my mood and anxiety which is why I changed to a non hormonal method.

Thinking about if I should go back on the mini pill in the next couple of months to hopefully stop my periods for a while or if there are alternatives. I'll make an appointment with a nurse to discuss options, but thought I'd see if anyone had any success with anything similar here first?

There’s se medication begins with nor that stops your period just for the time you need it for; nurse or doctor can prescribe and I’ve used a couple of times for holidays. The downside is that the period you get after can be worse then normal so if you struggle already it’s worth weighing up pros and cons

I've used norethisterone to delay my period
You take it 3 times a day starting a few days before it's due and keep taking it for as long as you need. Your period then starts a few days after stopping the tablets
I ordered mine online
