Non-applicator tampons

I’ve always used Tampax with an applicator. I don’t even know why, it’s just what I buy.

I went to a small shop to buy more, and they had zero Tampax, just another brand. I bought them
instead and only noticed when I got home that they have no applicator.

I’ve just used one, and I don’t know why I
panicked. I just put it in and that was that.

So much less plastic- not only the applicator, but outer packaging too.

If there is anyone thinking of changing to non-applicator tampons, go for it!

I haven't used tampons for years now since the birth of my dc. I now use towels but years ago I only ever used non applicator tampons, actually never used tampons with an applicator. yes much less packaging like you said. I also used to use supermarket own rather than branded as they were exactly the same but less than half the price.
I found non applicator tampons to be brilliant.

Have you thought about trying a menstrual cup? Even less waste and they work out much cheaper in the long run
