First period after c section birth

so iv started my first period after birth, had a c section, on first day period started I also started on the pill. Iv been bleeding going on 12 days now, is this normal, I know after pregnancy first period can be heavier but should it go on this long, also could it be to do with starting pill. Thanks

Hi! Don’t know if this is any help, but I had my c-section end of February, started the mini pill when baby was 6 weeks old and I randomly started bleeding on it (which has never happened), it lasted for about 2 weeks eventually stopped and haven’t had any bleeding since just assuming it’s from giving birth and everything settling down 🤞
