Constant brown spotting during peri

Well, just as it says really. So sick of it. Has anything worked (see caveats about mirena/HRT/ablation...sigh and sorry).

So
-53
-Periods currently regular and OK flow wise now off the HRT (see below)
-Was on HRT...caused 2 weekly horrendous periods flooding for a week, period for 6 days, maybe one day off...repeat. Was gel or patch and utrogestan. Tried increase of utrogestan...didn't help much.
-Had scans, lining fine. A little bit of adenmyosis.
-Tried ablation...tilted/retroverted womb so whilst up in my foof the safety valve kicked in and said "no"...so went home without the ablation
-Progesterone only pill makes me murderous

I can currently deal with everything peri without hrt but the constant spotting is getting me down feel mucky, icky, downhearted.

Has anyone else found something to stop it?

Mirena coil

Bugger. Meant to include in OP...can't do Mirena...again, odd shaped uterus...cannot get it in without GA. Did have one for a bit about 10 years ago...spotted constantly and still flooded for 6 months...and it shifted so was not in the right place...so gynae have kind of written that one off as a no-go for me.

You mentioned ablation but I am wondering if they attempted a hysteroscopy procedure instead. Ablation is often done under GA.

Most women have a tilted or retro vertex womb so that should not cause or be a problem.

Have you had a recent blood test done to measure your progesterone level?

@AttilaTheMeerkat apparently mine is super-funny shaped plus add in some bi-cornurate weirdness as well.

When consultant was try to do ablation he did have a good look and did a biopsy (all cleat). It was also following 2 hysteroscopies to get the mirena in (45 minutes each, failed).

Will GP test Progesterone levels? And if they are low (suspect they are) what would they do about it?
