How long in pain after ovarian cyst rupture?

On Friday night I had an ovarian cyst rupture (I'm 99% certain it was this, doctor confirmed based on symptoms over the phone, appt to see him tomorrow).

I was really tender over my whole abdomen for a couple of days - it felt bruised.

I'm still in pain today in my pelvic area. The pain eased after a bowel movement but I'm still in pain particularly if I press over my left ovary.

If you've had a ovarian cyst rupture how long did the pain last for and what did it feel like?

Has no one suggested a scan to rule out torsion ?

I paid for a private ultrasound as I wanted to know what was going on. The scan showed a 7cm endometrioma on my right ovary and nothing on my left. The pain was everywhere initially but now it's settled down it's definitely my left ovary that's hurting so I think it must have been a cyst that ruptured there.

At first I couldn't understand as the ultrasound showed nothing on the left but on looking into it burst endometriomas can be missed on scans as they are filled with old blood and not fluid.

I think if there was torsion it would be due to a cyst still being there pulling the ovary, so as it's my left and not my right ovary hurting I don't think it can be that.
