Colposcopy - 3rd in 3 Years

Has anybody been called for a Colposcopy this frequent?

2020 - Clear smear
2023 - Low grade which came back as CIN1
2024 - Nurse sent me for a colposcopy as she was concerned about my cervix. Came back HPV no abnormal cells.

Today I have received a text message telling me I have been referred again after my smear two weeks ago but the text has been sent before my results letter has came through.

Any thoughts or experiences while I wait for some context?

Sorry to hear you have to go through this. Did your nurse explain why she was concerned about the cervix?

Thank you for replying.

The nurse didn’t like the look of my cervix but at the colposcopy they said it was natural follicles. They were happy to discharge me and do a repeat smear this year which I had recently.

I am assuming my latest referral is due to more abnormal cells (?) It’s the downside of technology beating the post.

Was it cervical ectropion you had/have? Fingers crossed for your colonoscopy. This forum has a lot of useful info so hopefully it helps with your preparation etc.
