Does bv mean cheating?

hey all just looking for some advice. I’ve seen in the news that bacterial vaginosis can be passed sexually - and I’ve also seen some places now say if you get it after sex that’s why and you can only get it if sexually active.

its just got me a bit worried as I’ve had it twice with my husband- we’ve been together for 15 yrs and it only popped up about 4 years ago and both times a few days after sex (we also didn’t have sex for a whole year in between incidents). Should I now presume I was cheated on? I don’t think I was but it’s just got me so confused as he never finishes inside me and I didn’t have any symptoms prior to sex. I went to the doctors and was swabbed and positive for bv and used the antibiotics both times.

No I wouldn’t automatically assume that at all. It’s common and can be just one of those things that people are more prone to x
