Trying to get a hysterectomy, wish me luck!

2 years ago I tested positive for HPV after a smear, had a colposcopy, had complications and lost more than half my blood and passed out while having chest compressions - terrifying experience which still haunts me.
Last year, positive again and had a private colposcopy which was scary but thankfully uneventful.
I've just tested positive again (despite having negative tests after colposcopies) and as I'm halfway through my fifties and babies aren't going to feature in my future I feel that if I have a hysterectomy then there won't be a cervix to worry about any more!

Added to that, I had a mirena coil insterted in 2018 which has become embedded in my womb so will need surgery to remove at some point anyway...

So I've put it to my doctor + waiting for an appointment to discuss and thought I'd post on here in case anyone's been through similar + has any words of wisdom?
