Has anyone had the UTI vaccine? If so, has it been successful?

I didn’t even know there was such thing as a uti vaccine?

WhatHaveIJustRead · 08/05/2025 20:06

Placemarking as I have a friend who has constant recurring UTIs and I had no idea this was a thing

Sidge · 08/05/2025 20:07

There is no “UTI vaccine” - are you confusing it with something else?

TheGrimSmile · 08/05/2025 23:01

MV140 is the vaccine. I'm not sure how effective it is though.

I'm dubious...

That’s interesting. Currently just a research project though so unlikely to be available on the NHS any time soon.

TheGrimSmile · 09/05/2025 18:12

No, not available on NHS but you can pay privately. If I knew it worked, it would be worth every penny. But I'm not convinced.
