Hi

I had BV back in January, after having sex I feel the condom irritated things (It said it was for sensitive - but it had a scent) I went to sexual health who did full checks and told me right away. That I had BV. Got an antibiotic which I took and period arrived same time but afterwards symptoms were gone.
I didn’t have the typical burning or smell that i thought was asssociated more like tingle sensation in ovary

This time few days after period (April) I started getting a pain in my pelvic/ovary region. It would just come and go sharp shooting sensation lasting secs. I started upping my water and took dmannose but wasn’t shifting. Seen my GP who said some protein in urine and he’d treat for a UTI anyway as I have recurrent UTIs. My urine got sent off and came back negative. I took the antibiotics trimeporim? 7 day course and symptoms still there where the last few days i’ve felt bladder pressure, frequency, nausea so I went to sexual health who has done a full check. They have said the lab it has came up with BV,

can bv ever present this way?
(frequency, bladder discomfort, pelvic pain) I’m now worried too why its back! :(

It can be common for BV to come back and it doesn’t always have symptoms. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/bacterial-vaginosis/
If by any chance you are anywhere near menopause your symptoms of infection, bladder pressure and frequency and vaginal irritation are also consistent with Vaginal atrophy/Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause
