Earlier this year I felt a strange popping sensation in my groin shortly after doing some heavy lifting, then a month or two later, one day I noticed it was aching a bit and I felt a little lump which I could push in.
I went to the GP who said it seemed fine. However, it carried on so I got a private ultrasound done and they have confirmed I have a small inguinal hernia!
They said it is fat only and no bowel.
I am awaiting now a nhs scan, I’ve been told it’s uncommon in women so I haven’t found a lot of Info about it online,
I’ve got two young children who need lots of lifting and especially my little boy who is a heavy toddler and needs lifting etc as he’s a real runner/eloper 🙈 just worried about the repair & recovery if it’s needed?!
and if anyone has been through this I’d be grateful to hear , thank you x
