Ovary issues - help please!

For last year and a half or so I’ve noticed particular issues with my left ovary. Like when lying on my side a sudden shooting pain or when I manoeuvred a certain way. Mid cycle would only get ovulation pain on left.

pain whilst menstruating is not good - dull painful ache almost constantly for first few days in that one ovary. it’s like a knitting stitch, have taken painkillers 3 times today.

I strongly suspect I have endo as have always had heavy and sore periods. They interfere with digestion, sore, bloated, clotting, the works. But this ovary issue only really in last while. Terrified of being fobbed off but that’s also ridiculous as it needs sorted. Only other cycle change I’ve noticed is headache around ovulation and when period due.

anyone had something similar?

I had 18 months of right ovary pain on and off alongside bad bloating issues.
it turned out I had a 10mm ovarian cyst so had an operation to remove ovary,Fallopian tube and the cyst

@lovemycbf I was the same. OP you need to see your GP and asked to be referred for a scan.

It turned out I had a dermoid cyst the size of a baby's head on my ovary. I have been fine after surgery - but you need to get it checked.

If you lie on your front can you feel a lump in that area? Could well be a dermoid cyst which can twist around the ovary and cause excruciating pain which happened to me. Definitely would get checked out.

I had similar OP and turned out I had a chocolate cyst in my ovary, along with endo. I ended up having surgery and it was all fine. Definitely get worse the longer they’re left.

Thanks so much all for your responses!

have reached out to doctor and getting examination next week and then decide whether scan required. It’s mad how as women we have propensity to tolerate these things for so long 🙈

Ah that’s great 👍🏻 don’t be fobbed off I saw 5 doctors over 18 months and they kept saying constipation and dehydration and eventually I ended up In A&E

I can’t believe that! 😮 it must have been awful shock for you to then have ovary removed. It’s so odd I don’t feel so much a twinge in the other one!

I frequently get left sided pain too (right now in fact!) - have had bloods done which were all normal and got a scan next week.

Had 2 scans about 18m ago that showed nothing but the discomfort persists - it's got to be something right?! So frustrating
