Are my piles normal?

I’ve had piles since I had forceps for my first, they don’t usually bother me unless it’s hot or I have diarrhoea.
Im having a very stressful time at the moment ( providing end of life care) and I’m assuming that’s why they are playing up now. I was pushing a suppository in tonight and felt a pea sized hard lump in the piles. Is that normal, or does it need seeing?

I've also got some friends left over from pregnancy. I've never felt anything like that though. It might be worth getting a GP to have a look? I know that might not seem very appealing.

Yes. What I felt at the time was like a rock solid pea, I was referred but it went down again. It must have been stress.
