Wasn’t quite sure where else to pop this but does anyone have any good ideas about sun hats - I feel a bit of an idiot wearing a sun hat to work (I often work outside with children) but at the same time my scalp is burnt to pieces and is peeling (it’s itchy to the point I through I had head lice but turns out it was just sunburn) a cap would be to causal but any ideas welcome!

Blimey, be careful! I’ve bought a couple of straw type summer hats in Monsoon before I think. I take them on holiday. I love hats! There should be some nice options around now.

Get a nice outdoors-y one - I've had a North Face one with a wide brim before, and I've got one from a different company now.

I love the look of those big Korean sunhats, with the very broad brims - not sure how good they'd be for the 'eyes in the back of your head' awareness that you need for children outdoors, though!

I have a big head and curly hair so either hats don’t fit me or I get hat hair.

So I’m a repurpose-a-brolly-as-a-parasol woman.

I love a Panama style hat! Wide brim ones will also protect your face and neck.

I always wear a sun hat because skin cancer in my family. M&S do simple bucket hats with spf50 in them. My brother got skin cancer on his scalp! Wear a hat!

Faces, scalp and ears are all common spots for skin cancer. Please wear a hat outside!
