Ok, so in my teens and 20s definitely has weight related issues ( didn’t eat much to stay thin). I’m now 50 and try not to get hung on it anymore but obviously not totally over it as get v anxious about the number on scale. Went to doctors today for routine bloods and weighed me ( I had to say the number and first thing I said to nurse is that I don’t want to look) - but I did. Clothes on shoes - 64.9 ( im 5’3) . Definitely gaining. Came home and weighed myself- 64kg. Feel awful. . . I know it’s not the end of the world but I hate a number on the scale still affects me!

Hi,

Sorry to be nosy but if you still have periods body dismorphia could be a thing?

I noticed that on morning of period this week I felt/looked bigger then by that evening doing some exercise, getting changed afterwards I looked thinner, first time it happened but I wonder if these periods can have an effect.

I have thought before now if I should weigh once monthly. I try not to take the bmi thing to seriously.

@Ladymuck2022 i probably do have body dysmorphia to some degree still. Funny that I haven’t had a period in months and just started today hours after doctors appointment. Doctors said I was perimenopausal last year via blood tests.
