i had my smear test results
High grade cells (severe) grade 4
High risk hpv detected
i have been booked in for a colonoscopy
I am freaking out so bad! I am so nervous. Is this worse case scenario?
Has anyone else had the same?

also been having a lot of vagina issues for 4 months. Bv and thrush which hasn’t been a problem before. My vagina has not felt right in months the symptoms never fully clear and don’t feel comfortable.. could this be related to the hpv infection?

Please don't panic, I've had this twice and from memory it takes 4-6 years for HPV to even start to develop into cervical cancer so they're just getting in there early.
The colposcopy isn't much worse than a smear, it'll soon be over and those pesky cells will be zapped!
I've had no symptoms with my HPV but not sure whether that's typical...
Take a breath, you'll be fine!

@TheMerryGreenCat PS it's colposcopy, not colonoscopy - I made the same mistake first time and got very confused when I googled it!
