Bowel prolapse and light incontinence

Oh the joys. Any tips of managing this? I seem to have recurrent thrush so I assume I'm not doing a very good job Blush

I tore both times in childbirth and got very, very stretched. Had anterior pelvic floor repair but have a very mild bowel prolapse.

It flairs up when I've overlifted, then improves after a few weeks of pelvic floor exercises but then I overlift again and it's doing my my head in. Am going to self refer to bladder and bowel clinic but not sure what to expect. Anyone else experienced similar?

Have you seen a women’s health physio? You need better tailored exercises than just doing kegels. They can examine you and see exactly where the strengths and weaknesses are (it is very common to have over tense muscles in this area as well as weak ones) and tailor an exercise programme for you.

Thanks @EffortlesslyDecluttering I did see one after my second dc but not since my surgery. I'm hoping the clinic will refer me. I really don't want more surgery.
