Extremely heavy and painful periods after being sterilised.

I was wondering if anyone has suffered with the same problem after being sterilised?

I had both fallopian tubes removed in 2022 and immediately after had heavy periods but I’d say in the last 18 months they have gotten heavier and more painful. I have to wear adult nappies for the first 2 days and then it’s fine and light, but those first 2 days I cannot leave the house. I’m thinking of making a doctors appointment but I’m not sure what they could even do tbh

Yes you should see the GP, I’d be asking to get your iron checked as you’re so heavy. Then consider a Mirena coil to reduce/stop periods.
it might be worth asking for your thyroid to be checked too.
