Anyone had botox for over active bladder?

I am on the waiting list to get botox after years of incontinence but wondered what other womens’ experiences are.

I do pelvic floor exercises and have had guidance from a really good women’s urogynae physio, so I am confident I am doing them right, but I apparently still have poor muscle tone, somewhere between 0 and 3 on the Oxford scale. My concern is that after I’ve had the botox I still won’t be able to hold the pee in plus I’ll have a larger volume waiting to leak.

My ideal outcome would be to not need incontinence pads, or at least to only need a mini one to last all day. Is this possible?

Hi I have had these injections and they did work with a combination of a drug called solifacenin. I have come off the drugs because I am pregnant and have noticed an increase in leaking.

I need to go to wee about 5 or even 6 times each night. I was offered the Botox injection but chose not to have it because I was scared I wouldn't know when I needed a wee and so wet myself.

@caringcarer
I had the botox injections just over 2 weeks ago and the results are amazing! Is this how normal people feel?

I too wondered if I would be able to feel when my bladder was full and worried that it would fill and fill and then I would still wet myself but with a larger volume of wee.

So, two weeks in, I have not wet myself once and am using one mini pad per day, which I don't think I actually need, but habit is a powerful thing! Previously I could go through 3 or 4 medium tena's and on some days I would have to change my clothes several times.

I am getting quite frequent strong 'full bladder' feelings which can be uncomfortable but am able to hold on without any particular effort. Perhaps all those years of pelvic floor exercises have worked and I actually have a pelvic floor like a steel trap! Before botox I was having to wee about every hour during the day; now I can go for a couple of hours and I am hoping that the strong feelings will diminish and become less frequent as my bladder capacity increases.

If you want to pm me I am happy to chat about it further.
