New mirena but want to stop periods for holiday

Hi, I've had my first mirena just over a month now. I got my first period which lasted around 20 days, there wasn't lots but it was persistent.

I am going on holiday with a friend next month. Previously I've gone on norethirsterone to stop periods for holidays. But I'm not sure if I can take this if I have the mirena? Perhaps there's another option. I just don't want to be dealing with periods when I'm away especially if they're erratic. Thanks

I took the pill (28 day packs) on advice from gynae for a short time two months before removal of this type of coil if any help.
