Switching from Degesterol to Cerazette

I'm 48 and was on Levest for years with no issues but switched to Degesterol at the start of December as was starting to get very heavy periods (permi menopausal but no other symptoms yet and bloods are fine). The idea was that it would stop my periods and reduce the tiredness due to the heavy bleeding.
I'm literally spotting/bleeding so often now on Degesterol, and it's very irregular so I have to always be prepared. No pain and it's only ever light-medium but it's the not knowing when it's going to start that is driving me mad! I've read so many similar posts on this, so today I spoke to the pharmacist (GP appt is in 3 weeks time) to see if switching to the branded version Cerazette may help. She said it's fine to try and may help.
Has anyone done this? Ideally I want no more periods.

The main reason I'm asking is that I'm going on holiday at the start of July so really want avoid bleeding then.

I started taking degesterol when I was 46, now 53, and I've had not a spot of bleeding in all those years. I love it and am dreading having to stop taking it at 55.

Definitely worth trying a different version of it. It really is (as my contraceptive nurse said) 'the Rolls Royce of contraception!
