I’m currently abroad at the moment, experiencing pelvic pain and absolutely paranoid I have PID - has anyone had this? Did you go to GP immediately and what did they do? I don’t get home for a few days & worried sick. Thanks.

I had PID - I ignored the pain for a few days thinking it was my endo and taking ibuprofen then ended up going to a&e as I was in so much pain. They gave me intravenous antibiotics and kept me in overnight and those antibiotics kicked in really quickly. Can you not get to a drs at all?

My friend had it relating to endo. I don’t have endo but not sure what it could relate to? I am prone to utis!

I had it temporarily after coil insertion.

I just went near a hospital one afternoon which turned into early hours of the next morning. GP wasn’t interested and said there wasn’t a problem. They (A+E entrance took my urine sample and from there I ended up in the A&E queue rather then urgent treatment centre.

Treatment was 2 types of antibiotics and an antibiotic injection in the bum.
Coil out at a later date after it failed to come out then and there.

It is a shame chemists can’t just check someone’s urine. Now I’ve said that it’ll probably turn out that is something they can do.
