Has anyone successfully dealt with a c section shelf? My scars are a few years old now and I’m very keen to improve them. Interested to hear any successful stories!

Following. Just had a C which looks like it’s going to be Shelfy!

As far as my research goes..
first thing is you need the swelling to go.
second scar massage to make sure the layers can glide / aren’t being pinched in.
Third get rid of excess weight and work on core
After that all I can find is scar revision surgery.

I am slim. Never had this with my first. I do believe it’s a case of bad stitching for some people and no amount of exercise or dieting or massage will resolve those cases without corrective surgery. But I may be wrong!

I have one after 2 sections, last one 16 years ago
Weight has fluctuated but even at my lightest it was still there

I looked into vaserlipo a few years ago when I was a bit bigger and asked if it would help. Consultant said that unfortunately as surgery put it there, only surgery (tummy tuck) would get rid of it
