Weirdly great perimenopause symptoms

I just had worst perimenopause symptoms I've experienced and now suddenly feel amazing! I'm 49 and been on low dose HRT for a couple of years to help with fatigue, brain fog etc. and though better than I was before HRT have been feeling permanently tired and dull headed... then about a week ago out of the blue I started having stomach cramps, sweats, chills, anxiety, headaches and heavy fatigue.
Went to GP today and she advised increasing the estrogen and progesterone - but today and this evening (before changing anything) suddenly the all symptoms have gone and I feel more bright and energetic than I have for years! What's going on?? Worried about increasing HRT now in case that makes it worse again.
Don't really understand the whole estrogen fluctuation thing - can it make you feel great as well as terrible? Is there an inevitable swing back to grimness on it's way? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks
