Enlarged thyroid, gp says bloods are okay but they don’t look good to me?

i went to the gp with a lymph node in my next, gp examined and mentioned my thyroid is enlarged also

he sent me for bloods and referred for a scan, bloods came back “within normal range” but I can see the TSH level is borderline low, its 0.6 and normal is between 0.3 and 5.3.

other symptoms I have is very low energy and mood but I’m also 11 months pp. feeling like I need to clear my throat a lot, wearing anything high neck or things with a hood feel like they are choking me

i just chased my gp surgery about the scan and they apologised and said the gp forgot to do the referral a month ago so they’ve sent it off today
:(

im about a stone heavier than I should be but finding it impossible to get the energy to exercise

does anyone have any ideas? Can it just be something that disappears? I don’t really know anything about thyroid

If you go to the Thyroid UK forum on Health Unlocked and post your results there people are super helpful. I was recently diagnosed as hypothyroid so don't have experience of low TSH but highly recommend it as a resource. You can put up your full lab results if happy to share and there are some experienced people who can comment. I hope you feel better soon.

Is that your serum TSH? I have all those symptoms and have had a goitre for over 20 years and my serum TSH is very slightly high at 4.31, which is more subclinical hypothyroidism. I’ve had scans and all is well but I have the ‘cough’ thing which is also a symptom, along with some hoarseness, but a chest X-ray was fine. My GP is seeing what bloods next January say. I’ve started taking a natural thyroid supplement.

With thyroid tsh… the lower the score the more efficiently your thyroid is working… so your score of 0.6 means that your thyroid is working better compared to another person above 5 (if that’s makes sense).
I would ask for a scan if the thyroid if you feel there is pressure/enlargement there.

I have been looking at this myself. Mine is slightly lower at 0.5 but the lower it is you are on the hyper range not hypo. I had Graves' disease years ago which corrected with medication. I don't take that now. I was unaware (until now) when I have my annual bloods they are only checking my TSH levels not a full thyroid panel. I'm tempted to pay for a full thyroid panel but I am looking into this. The doctors seem so overwhelmed and I'm fed up of feeling rubbish too.

I don't feel the same as I did before but just not right. When mine was very hyper I had horrendous sweats, non stop shakes and my eyes felt wrong (they didn't bulge but very dry). Hope you get some answers.
