Can someone help - how to go about seeing private gynaecologist in London?

Hi, I think I need to see a private gynae - I'm 50, on HRT, and was told I have quite a lot of fibroids (they have been seen on the ultrasound for something else). I wanted to talk to a specialist about them but was told you would never get seen by the gynaecologist on the NHS as they only see you if "something goes wrong". My fibroids do worry me a lot but I assume the only way I can get any additional advice or treatment is to see someone private.

Could anyone explain how to go about it and maybe recommend a good doctor in London? Also, how expensive it it - I'm not massively wealthy.

I would look here using the BUPA Consultant Finder

you can find someone that meets your brief, see where they work, they often do NHS as well as private work, their qualifications, experience etc. Then contact their secretary directly to find out costs.
